In the second quarter of 2024, Latin America's carpooling and ridesharing app landscape showed varied trends in downloads and weekly active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into how these apps have been performing on a unified platform.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with downloads starting at 674K in the first week of April and peaking at 768K in the first week of June. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but stayed around the 29M mark, with a high of nearly 30M in early May.

inDrive. Save on city rides also saw a consistent performance in downloads, kicking off at 432K in the first week of April and reaching a peak of 532K in early June. The app's weekly active users started at 11M and showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter with nearly 12M active users.

Despite not generating revenue, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a healthy download trend, from 302K in the first week of April to a notable jump to 407K by the end of June. Its weekly active users started strong at 9M and saw a peak of over 10M in the latter half of May.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery displayed an interesting pattern with downloads initially at 224K, spiking to 337K mid-April, and then a surge to 307K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users followed a similar upward trajectory, starting at 403K and soaring to 651K in the last week of June.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed a steady download rate beginning at 250K and climbing to 293K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a slight increase from 3M in the first week of April to over 3.1M by the end of June.
